If you weren’t out in Summit last night for October First Thursday, here’s what you missed (and why you’ll want to circle November 6 on your calendar).
🌿 A Quiet Place at the Library Gorgeous cemetery paintings by Mary Kennington Watson made us rethink the Halloween vibe.
💫 Cyanotypes + Reiki at The Healing Arts Gallery Cyanotypes and paintings by artist Susanna Beltrandi were a joy to look at.
👹 A Monster on Maple Street Jessica Vivona’s hand-painted storefront at Kanibal + Co was a showstopper. The “Monster on Maple Street” installation was equal parts playful and spooky, perfect for October.
🌱 Seeds, Snacks, and Conversations at VACNJ The Visual Arts Center hosted a community seed exchange, tables full of colorful packets, people swapping stories and tips, and plenty of fall exhibition wanderings in the galleries.
First Thursdays are about connection, discovery, and a little surprise around every corner. If you missed this one, don’t worry, November’s edition is right around the corner, and you’ll want to be there.
👉 Mark your calendar: Thursday, November 6.
